1) Jesse Eisenberg,
Lex Luthor, Batman V Superman:
Jesse won the Razzie and deservedly so. That speech he delivers at his party is among the 5 worst scenes in the history of comic movies, arguably the very worst.
2) Jamie Foxx,
Electro, Amazing Spiderman 2:
Steamin' Willie Beamin' was neither steaming or beaming as Electro. I tend to like Jamie Foxx, but this one was painful to watch.
3) Topher Grace,
Venom, Spider-man 3:
4) Arnold
Schwartzenegger, Mr Freeze, Batman and Robin:
5) Colin Farrell,
Bullseye, Daredevil:
6) Toby Kebbell,
Doctor Doom, Fantastic Four:
I've been struggling to repress my memories of that Fantastic Four reboot abomination, one of the top 5 worst comic book movies ever made.
7) Kevin Spacey,
Lux Luthor, Superman Returns:
I almost forgot this movie ever happened, and needed to research bad villain performance before even remembering he'd done this.
8) Ciaran Hinds,
Steppenwolf, Justice League:
9) Cara Delevingn,
Enchantress, Suicide Squad:
10) John Travolta,
Howard Saint, Punisher:
11) Tommy Lee Jones,
Two-face, Batman Forever:
12) Mark Pillow,
Nuclear Man, Superman 4 Quest For Peace:
This is another terrible comic book movie that brought us another terrible villain. This was the first and last movie of Mark Pillow's acting career. At the time he probably thought this was a big break that would lead to a promising future, but it turned out to be the exact opposite.
13) Peter Sarsgaard,
Hector Hammond, Green Lantern:
Possibly the worst comic book movie ever made. There's an argument to be made that this guy deserves to be top 5, but we don't really take this movie seriously enough.
14) Uma Thurman, Poison Ivy, Batman and Robin:
Her side kick Bane probably deserves an honorable mention, except that it wasn't an acting performance. Uma was near her career apex at the time, but took this a bit too far.
15) Pedro Pascal, Max Lord, Wonder Woman 1984:
We are big fans of Oberyn Martell, but this performance was tough to watch. He's almost charming at the beginning of the movie, but as he slowly descends into madness, the over-acting gets progressively worse. By the time we get to the final act and the "whole world makes a wish" sequence, we were laughing at how bad he was.
Honorable Mentions:
Jared Leto, The Joker, Suicide Squad:
